About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in civil engineering for infrastructure projects to join a leading civil engineering contractor. This role involves working on a significant public realm and civic infrastructure project in North Dublin/Meath. The successful candidate will take on a senior position within a dynamic company, contributing to the high-quality delivery of civil engineering works in a busy project setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support daily site operations involved in civil engineering tasks.
- Coordinate work among multidisciplinary site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively.
- Track progress, manage programming, ensure quality control, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Assist Contracts Manager and Director in ensuring projects are delivered within timeframes and budgets.
- Utilize Asta Powerproject or similar software to manage and monitor construction schedules.
- Communicate regularly with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support management of construction contractual agreements and maintain project documentation.
- Help resolve technical, construction, scheduling, and contractual challenges.
- Ensure all works comply with design specifications, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and provide detailed progress updates to senior leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline at Level 8 (QQI) or an internationally recognized equivalent.
- At least 8 years of post-graduate experience in civil engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in project or senior site management roles.
- Proven history of completing civil engineering or infrastructure projects on schedule and within budget.
- Strong familiarity with Irish construction contract frameworks such as GCCC, NEC3/4, RIAI, or equivalents.
- Proficiency in project management software like Asta Powerproject or comparable tools.
- Experience in managing diverse site teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Possession of a full, clean driving license.
- Legal authorization to work in the Republic of Ireland.
Salary and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging from €70,000 to €80,000 based on experience.
