Job Purpose
The Senior Manager - Stores will oversee efficient receipt, proper storage, precise accounting, and timely distribution of materials/packages at a large site. This role also includes managing classification, storage, and disposal of waste and scrap per defined guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for store management, inventory control, and scrap handling.
- Support design and roll-out of standard systems and templates to enhance inventory management processes.
- Supervise inbound material receipt ensuring accurate documentation aligned with procurement policies and Integrated Management System (IMS) compliance.
- Continuously review and upgrade contract frameworks to optimize operations and minimize risks; ensure adherence to purchasing and inventory standards.
- Lead identification and recycling or liquidation of non-moving inventory; manage approvals for scrapping or asset write-offs.
- Oversee quality assurance by monitoring inventory deployment and ensuring timely, accurate issuance to end users.
- Assist in risk assessment by evaluating and prioritizing risks, contributing to mitigation plans and updating risk registers.
- Manage team performance by setting objectives, conducting reviews, delivering feedback, and developing individual growth plans.
- Represent and embed Adani's brand values in all engagements, strengthening stakeholder relationships and company reputation.
- Adopt digital and AI advancements to innovate business practices and enhance competitive advantage.
- Foster a safe, respectful workplace culture while building collaborative and highly effective teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science, commerce, supply chain management, business administration, or relevant disciplines.
- Preferred certifications or diplomas in inventory or materials management.
- At least 14 years of experience in managing stores, inventory, and scrap operations.
- Minimum 3 years experience leading small to medium-sized teams.

- Internal: Site Techno-Commercial Head, Techno-Commercial Head, Chief Procurement Officer, Finance & Accounts team.
- External: Vendors and logistics service providers.
