About the Role
CJ Hiring is looking to recruit a skilled Site Manager to join a reputable construction team that is executing an assembly facility development in County Kildare, Ireland. The main focus of this project includes building and fitting out classrooms along with changing room amenities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations ensuring smooth workflow
- Coordinate activities between subcontractors and the onsite workforce
- Guarantee that all works comply with safety standards and quality expectations
- Track project milestones to ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other team members
- Manage logistical aspects, securing material availability on schedule
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols rigorously
- Perform frequent site inspections maintaining superior workmanship standards
- Engage with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to align progress and expectations
- Participate in site meetings and deliver progress reports consistently
- Keep comprehensive and accurate site documentation and records
- Identify risks or issues that could delay the project and implement solutions promptly
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience managing construction sites effectively
- Background in overseeing commercial or similar construction projects
- Strong capability in managing subcontractors and construction teams
- In-depth understanding of health and safety legislation and practices
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Keen eye for detail with capacity to juggle multiple responsibilities
- Relevant construction-related qualifications are advantageous
