Role Overview

We seek an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team in creating innovative insurance technologies. You will develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for API and data platform components, ensuring high-quality delivery across our products through efficient and scalable test automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in agile processes, including scrum ceremonies and quality audits throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design and implement tests for significant modules or feature sets independently.
• Analyze business requirements by reviewing project design and requirement documents.
• Create robust, scalable automated test frameworks and scripts using Python, Pytest, BDD frameworks, and PyCharm; perform integration, regression, and performance testing with industry-standard tools.
• Evaluate and adopt new automated testing tools as appropriate.
• Utilize TestRail or similar test management tools to manage test suites, record automation results, and analyze failures.
• Work autonomously and collaborate across teams to champion quality initiatives and lead in-depth software quality discussions.
• Develop comprehensive end-to-end test scenarios, assisting and mentoring other quality engineers.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant SDET or software testing experience.
• Familiarity with data platforms, machine learning systems, and API testing.
• Experience integrating testing artifacts within CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of property and casualty (P&C) insurance domain.

Valued Additional Skills

• Proficiency with Linux environments, SQL databases including PostgreSQL, and shell scripting.
• Working knowledge of AWS services, DevOps practices, and AI technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
• Passion for automation to minimize manual testing effort.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from $156,000 to $209,000, offered based on experience and qualifications.
