About the Role
At Google, software engineers innovate next-generation solutions that impact billions worldwide, handling massive-scale information beyond just web search. This role involves working on varied projects critical to Google's business, including information retrieval, distributed systems, AI, natural language processing, and UI design. Engineers are expected to be versatile, display leadership, and address challenges across the full technology stack.
Google Ads powers the open internet by connecting people, publishers, and advertisers through products in search, display, shopping, travel, video advertising, and analytics. The team supports businesses of all sizes with tools that generate measurable value and enables Google to interact with its customers at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product or system software code.
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices including style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Update and adapt documentation and educational materials according to product updates and user feedback.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve issues affecting hardware, network, or service performance and quality.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of software development experience using one or more languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- Experience designing accessible technologies.
