Technician - Equipment Engineering

Job Overview

This role entails supporting the operation, preventive upkeep, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance of HVAC systems within cleanroom and production environments.

Major Responsibilities

• Assist in operating and maintaining HVAC components including air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), exhaust mechanisms, and chilled water systems.
• Contribute to both preventive and corrective maintenance processes effectively.
• Continuously monitor HVAC system parameters and promptly report any irregularities encountered.
• Participate in filter changes, cleaning activities, and initial fault diagnosis tasks.
• Aid in maintaining cleanroom environmental standards aligned with GMP guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors and maintenance staff during scheduled shutdowns and upkeep operations.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations and pharmaceutical GMP protocols at all times.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or equivalent technical certification in Mechanical engineering or HVAC technology.
• Between 1 to 3 years of practical experience in HVAC maintenance activities.
• Background in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or cleanroom facility environments preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of HVAC system components and maintenance tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Readiness to work in shifts if the situation demands.

Desired Skills

• Understanding of cleanroom-specific HVAC systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) is beneficial.
