Trade Control Integrator

About the Role

Boeing Defence Australia is looking for a Trade Controls Integration Specialist to support the advanced airborne surveillance, communications, and maritime patrol capabilities of the P-8A Poseidon aircraft. This key position involves ensuring the protection and compliance of this world-class defense platform, especially as it undergoes various aircraft upgrade initiatives and sustainment programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational execution and administration of the Program’s trade control duties.
• Serve as the Integrated Control Plan (ICP) Owner, ensuring adherence to trade control compliance aligned with pertinent Australian and US export authorizations.
• Oversee approved trade control authorities, maintaining alignment with contractual scopes of work.
• Support logistics related to the movement of goods and technology in line with approved trade control regulations.
• Collaborate with Global Trade Control (GTC) to facilitate training for continual education and awareness on trade controls.
• Assist with trade control compliance audits and objective testing efforts in coordination with GTC.
• Identify and implement best practices to enhance the Program’s overall trade compliance awareness.
• Maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.

Candidate Profile

• Background in Contracts, Legal, Defense, or related fields is highly valued.
• Proven ability to engage, influence, and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills paired with a customer-focused approach.
• Detail-oriented and process-driven mindset.
• Must be an Australian Citizen and qualified to obtain at least NV1 security clearance due to defense security requirements.

Work Location

This position is based at RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia.
