Job description

Role overview

An education-focused organization is hiring an experienced Trainer / Coach to support students as they navigate academic progress and personal growth. The position is centered on mentoring learners in a multicultural, fast-moving setting where the goal is to help each student reach their potential.

What you will do

  • Offer personalized coaching that supports students in both school performance and personal development, including preparation for boarding school and future higher education options.
  • Run mock interview practice and help students draft, strengthen, and polish personal statements.
  • Lead individual and group coaching sessions designed to improve academic ability, communication, and critical thinking.
  • Help learners build confidence, organize study plans, and maintain a healthy balance between academics and extracurricular activities.
  • Support students in developing greater self-awareness by exploring their strengths, interests, and goals.
  • Provide broader developmental guidance, including soft-skills growth, resilience, and overall personal progress.
  • Create and deliver workshops, training content, and coaching sessions for students and their families.
  • Work with internal teams to build learning materials, mentoring structures, and student-readiness programs.
  • Contribute ideas that improve coaching methods and the design of the curriculum.

Candidate profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in Humanities, International Relations, or a closely related discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in teaching, coaching, mentoring, or student development is expected, with middle or high school exposure being an advantage.
  • Strong written and spoken English is essential.
  • International exposure through study abroad experience or work in multicultural environments is important.
  • The right candidate should communicate clearly, teach effectively, and inspire learners.
  • They should be well organized, careful with details, and capable of handling several priorities at once.
  • An empathetic, analytical, and flexible approach to different learner needs is needed.
  • A genuine interest in student wellbeing, education, and personal development is key.
