Position Overview

As a Utility Technician at the BD Tuas Plant in Singapore, you will be essential in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring timely material availability, contributing to the production of critical medical devices that enhance patient care worldwide. Transportation is provided for this onsite role.

Core Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily issuance, replenishment, and inventory management aligned with production schedules.
• Maintain an uninterrupted supply flow of components and materials to production lines.
• Prepare and transfer finished and in-process goods between manufacturing and warehouse areas.
• Verify the accuracy and approval status of materials assigned to production.
• Administer inventory transactions including cycle counts, variance investigations, and accuracy improvement initiatives.
• Oversee label control procedures to guarantee compliance and traceability.
• Manage excess material returns and support material recoveries post-production runs.
• Monitor safety stock levels and initiate replenishment as necessary.
• Engage in shift handovers, team meetings, and continuous improvement efforts targeting productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and operational excellence standards set by BD.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in manufacturing, production, logistics, warehousing, or inventory-related functions is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong dedication to accuracy.
• Capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaborative teamwork skills.
• Basic proficiency in computer use and inventory management systems.
• A proactive approach prioritizing safety, quality, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
