Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Role overview

Yanwen Express is looking for a proactive, highly organized warehouse supervisor to run day-to-day warehouse activity. This role covers inbound receiving, sorting, inventory management, outbound handling, and coordination with last-mile delivery partners. The right candidate will bring strong execution skills, people management experience, and a practical understanding of logistics, supply chain, or delivery operations.

Chicago and New Jersey.

What you will do

• Oversee daily warehouse functions such as receiving, scanning, sorting, picking, packing, staging, dispatching, and returns handling.
• Manage outbound shipment flow and coordinate handoffs to last-mile delivery teams so orders move out accurately and on time.
• Review workflow and labor assignment to hit daily targets for productivity, accuracy, and service levels.
• Coach, train, and supervise warehouse associates while ensuring adherence to SOPs, safety rules, and performance standards.
• Monitor stock movement, look into discrepancies, and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Make sure every parcel is scanned, labeled, sorted, and routed correctly according to operational needs.
• Partner with operations, transportation, customer service, and management teams to solve shipment problems and improve efficiency.
• Keep the warehouse tidy, organized, and compliant with OSHA and internal safety policies.
• Spot bottlenecks in the process and suggest improvements that raise productivity and reduce mistakes.
• Prepare daily reports covering productivity, attendance, shipment volumes, exceptions, and issue closures.
• Help plan for peak periods, including staffing coordination and overtime scheduling when required.

What the company is looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required.
• Background in warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or last-mile delivery work is preferred.
• Previous experience leading a team or supervising staff in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics setup is preferred.
• Experience with parcel sorting, dispatch coordination, route planning, or last-mile operations is a strong advantage.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or overtime depending on business requirements.
