Schedule Control & Reporting Expert

Position Overview

The Schedule Control & Reporting Expert plays a pivotal role in enhancing project management efficiency during the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) phase. This position involves overseeing schedule control, analysing schedule performance, monitoring progress, managing deviations, forecasting, and generating management reports. The expert will track each O&M Contractor's adherence to contractual milestones, develop scheduling dashboards, automate reporting workflows leveraging digital and AI-driven tools, and compile monthly reports to guide management decisions and contract monitoring.

This role acts as a crucial liaison among the project management team, O&M Contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders, ensuring the accuracy of schedule-related information including performance metrics, key milestone tracking, risk assessments, deviation identification, and recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate, evaluate, and maintain baseline project schedules and routine update cycles.
• Assess O&M Contractors' schedules for compliance with contractual and project requirements, including milestone adherence.
• Track O&M Contractors' performance against established baselines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Perform critical path method analyses to pinpoint schedule constraints, delays, and enhancement opportunities.
• Analyze the effects of variations, design modifications, and risks on scheduling.
• Assist in crafting recovery schedules and mitigation strategies to address delays and schedule deviations.
• Supervise schedules related to project handover, close-out, and commissioning phases.
• Validate O&M Contractor progress, examining productivity and milestone achievements relative to targets.
• Identify schedule variations and propose corrective interventions.
• Develop and present monthly, executive, and management reports focused on schedule status and deviations.
• Construct and implement dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and milestone tracking reports to enhance visibility.
• Utilize and promote AI-enabled tools for optimizing data consolidation, trend analysis, variance assessment, and management reporting workflows.
• Support schedule deviation analysis and recovery planning, including mitigation plan preparation and review.
• Collaborate with contract, commercial, project control, and reporting teams to align schedule data and reports.
• Liaise with project managers, O&M Contractors, consultants, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure consistent schedule controls and reporting quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in planning, scheduling, project controls, or reporting within infrastructure, transport, rail, metro, O&M, PMC, consultancy, or contracting contexts.
• Proficient in working with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and clients.
• Extensive expertise with Primavera P6, schedule development and maintenance, CPM analysis, progress monitoring and forecasting, schedule deviation analyses, and recovery strategies.
• Experience preparing monthly and executive reports, dashboards, KPI reporting, and presentations.
• Strong command of Earned Value Management, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as knowledge of project control systems and digital reporting automation tools, including AI-enabled software.
