Cardiac Physiologist

About the Role

Emerald Locums is searching for an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join a busy acute hospital cardiology department located in Galway. This role offers a unique chance to engage with a comprehensive range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional services in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct various non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures.
• Provide assistance during invasive cardiac interventions within the department.
• Support operations within the cardiac catheterisation laboratory.
• Maintain thorough and precise clinical records and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care based on best practice standards.
• Contribute to the on-call roster as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be registered with the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP).
• Previous professional experience in a cardiology department is essential.
• Experience in cardiac catheterisation laboratory services is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to operate independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
• Authorization to work in Ireland is mandatory.
