Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Certified CPT Medical Coder for an hourly contract role. This position offers $45 to $65 per hour, working remotely with a variable commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Precisely assign CPT and ICD-10 codes to patient medical records and clinical documents.
Ensure that all coding activities adhere strictly to payer and regulatory standards.
Review medical documentation thoroughly for coding accuracy and completeness.
Work collaboratively with internal quality assurance teams to identify and correct any coding discrepancies.
Maintain consistent productivity while upholding high-quality coding standards.

Essential Requirements

Possession of a valid CPC and/or CRC certification from AAPC or an equivalent body.
Demonstrable experience with CPT coding processes.
Strong competency in ICD-10 coding methodologies.
Must be a certified and actively practicing medical coder.
Knowledge of HCC coding and MEAT documentation standards is advantageous.
