Certified CPT Medical Coder

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Certified CPT Medical Coder for an hourly contract role. This position offers $45 to $65 per hour, working remotely with a variable commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Precisely assign CPT and ICD-10 codes to patient medical records and clinical documents.
• Ensure that all coding activities adhere strictly to payer and regulatory standards.
• Review medical documentation thoroughly for coding accuracy and completeness.
• Work collaboratively with internal quality assurance teams to identify and correct any coding discrepancies.
• Maintain consistent productivity while upholding high-quality coding standards.

Essential Requirements

• Possession of a valid CPC and/or CRC certification from AAPC or an equivalent body.
• Demonstrable experience with CPT coding processes.
• Strong competency in ICD-10 coding methodologies.
• Must be a certified and actively practicing medical coder.
• Knowledge of HCC coding and MEAT documentation standards is advantageous.
