Job Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled Sales Lead based in Auckland to contribute to our continued growth. This dynamic, field-based role reports to the National Sales Manager and involves cultivating new business and driving specification-based sales across the Auckland region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential clients, new markets, and opportunities within the assigned territory to generate new business.
- Conduct frequent customer visits and deliver compelling sales and technical presentations to key decision-makers and influencers.
- Foster strong professional relationships with consultants, engineers, designers, and other specifying stakeholders to influence product specification outcomes.
- Respond promptly to project inquiries, delivering design services with a strong emphasis on quality, precision, and timely turnaround.
- Manage and monitor projects through feasibility and design phases, ensuring accurate and updated project data is communicated effectively.
- Maintain comprehensive records and update opportunities in the company CRM system, including documentation of meetings, presentations, and communications.
- Collect and analyze market intelligence such as competitor activities, pricing strategies, trends, and customer insights to support ongoing improvement and business growth.
- Drive profitable sales growth by planning, quoting, negotiating, and successfully converting opportunities into confirmed purchase orders.
- Coordinate the internal handover of project documentation and support delivery through to completion, including purchase order confirmations.
- Uphold professional standards at industry events and actively pursue professional development opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales, preferably within technical, engineered, infrastructure, construction, or specification-driven sectors.
- Strong skills in relationship management, influencing stakeholders, and negotiation.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work under pressure, with awareness of margin and costing.
- Organized and strategic in territory planning, managing activities, and meeting targets and budgets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities, comfortable presenting to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and CRM platforms.
- Holds a full, clean driver's license and is capable of working independently in a field-based environment.
