Senior Estimation and Tendering Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Estimation and Tendering Manager to oversee the complete tendering and cost estimation activities within our projects. This leadership role requires reviewing tender dossiers, bills of quantities, technical specifications, and contract terms. The manager will evaluate project risks to guide bid or no-bid decisions, produce precise cost assessments for materials, equipment, subcontractors, and labor, and supervise Estimation Managers and Quantity Surveying teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all stages of estimation and tender processes from start to finish.
• Analyze tender documentation including bill of quantities, specifications, and contractual agreements.
• Identify and assess risks associated with projects to influence bidding strategies.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates encompassing all project aspects such as materials and manpower.
• Lead and mentor a team of Estimation Managers and QS professionals.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure alignment.
• Deliver bids that are both competitive in the market and profitable for the company.
• Support project teams with handover processes following contract awards.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
• At least eight years of relevant experience with a minimum of five years in managerial or supervisory capacities.
• Working experience within the GCC region will be considered beneficial.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, tendering procedures, cost control, and contract preparation.
• Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), large infrastructure, or sizeable building projects.
• Competence in estimation software, Microsoft Office suite, and enterprise resource planning tools such as SAP preferred.
• Strong leadership qualities accompanied by excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
