Junior Data Scientist

About the Role

This contract position of Junior Data Scientist lasts for 12 months with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. The candidate will support decision-making through developing analytics solutions, creating models, and designing dashboards aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement data science approaches to optimize operations.
• Develop sophisticated analytical models utilizing SQL, Tableau, Hive, Presto, Python, and R.
• Provide mentorship within the team and coordinate efforts across various departments.
• Deliver insights effectively to audiences with varying technical backgrounds.
• Design and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to promote scalable business processes.
• Continuously seek and act on chances to improve existing workflows.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess 2 to 4 years of experience supporting operational functions, with a solid grasp of KPIs.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency with SQL and big data technologies as well as Python or R programming.
• Exhibit expertise in data visualization and communicating analytical results through storytelling.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Preferences

• Experience in Customer Operations or similar areas is advantageous.
• Track record of measurable outcomes delivered via data projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools will be considered a plus.
