Role overview

This opening is for a Software Engineer Expert working on a contract basis. The work is fully remote, and the compensation is set at $40–$50 per hour.

What you’ll do

• Develop MCP servers in Python with FastMCP.
• Connect web and desktop applications to RL Studio.
• Work across APIs, Docker, Linux-based setups, and service-level configuration.
• Add populate and snapshot hooks to manage application state.
• Run local tests and troubleshoot build, runtime, and permission-related issues.
• Confirm that applications satisfy platform validation and deployment standards.

Required qualifications

• Very strong command of Python is essential.
• Hands-on exposure to APIs, backend systems, and debugging work is needed.
• You should be comfortable using Docker, Linux, and local testing processes.
• Experience handling configuration files and deployment workflows is important.
• Strong analytical thinking and careful attention to technical details are expected.

Preferred background

• Prior work with FastMCP or a comparable framework is an advantage.
• Experience linking third-party applications or developer tools is useful.
• Exposure to web applications, databases, and containerized setups will be beneficial.
