Role overview
This opening is for a Software Engineer Expert working on a contract basis. The work is fully remote, and the compensation is set at $40–$50 per hour.
What you’ll do
- Develop MCP servers in Python with FastMCP.
- Connect web and desktop applications to RL Studio.
- Work across APIs, Docker, Linux-based setups, and service-level configuration.
- Add populate and snapshot hooks to manage application state.
- Run local tests and troubleshoot build, runtime, and permission-related issues.
- Confirm that applications satisfy platform validation and deployment standards.
Required qualifications
- Very strong command of Python is essential.
- Hands-on exposure to APIs, backend systems, and debugging work is needed.
- You should be comfortable using Docker, Linux, and local testing processes.
- Experience handling configuration files and deployment workflows is important.
- Strong analytical thinking and careful attention to technical details are expected.
Preferred background
- Prior work with FastMCP or a comparable framework is an advantage.
- Experience linking third-party applications or developer tools is useful.
- Exposure to web applications, databases, and containerized setups will be beneficial.
