Role Summary
As a Relationship Manager based in Christchurch, you will manage, grow, and sustain a customer portfolio by fostering long-term client relationships. Your responsibilities will include crafting customer-centric solutions and offering proactive insights tailored to their business needs. You will work within a designated area to simplify banking experiences by deeply understanding clients and delivering relevant financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and grow enduring client relationships and critical customer portfolios.
- Deliver impactful customer solutions while managing risks and performing financial analysis to uncover key insights.
- Maintain expert knowledge of core products and services, and involve specialists when required.
- Ensure all lending reports and recommendations meet credit standards and mandates.
- Collaborate with internal teams across the business to support sustained customer growth and success.
- Lead and support Relationship Associates and other team members as appropriate.
- Develop a robust network of contacts to assist in sourcing new business and maximizing existing portfolios.
- Perform comprehensive analysis of customer information before submitting deals to ensure accurate credit decisions.
- Maintain compliance and uphold operational excellence throughout all activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in relationship management, business development, portfolio or account management.
- Background in analyzing financial accounts, budgets, and cash flow to devise effective client solutions is highly desirable.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, demonstrating strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven networking skills to build and deepen customer relationships and expand portfolios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and effectively influence stakeholders.
