Role Overview
The Deli Assistant position is centered on crafting superior hot and cold deli items while prioritizing customer satisfaction above all. This role involves active engagement with customers and upholding high standards in food preparation and presentation.
Key Qualifications and Traits
- Training in HACCP is an advantage though not mandatory
- Strong communication capabilities are essential
- Experience in customer service settings will be beneficial
- Ability to function effectively within a team in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and manage multiple tasks under pressure
- A genuine enthusiasm for food and inspiring shoppers
Primary Responsibilities
- Embody Centra's core brand values of pride, energy, creativity, and community focus
- Prepare various customer orders including making sandwiches and rolls, plating hot food, and slicing meats adhering to portion control standards
- Cook, assemble, and display food items consistently throughout operating hours
- Maintain exceptional standards for deli counter presentations throughout the day
- Exhibit a passion for quality food by sharing culinary knowledge, recipe ideas, and personalized suggestions with customers
- Address all customer inquiries promptly and professionally in accordance with store policies
