Role Purpose
As an Electronics Engineer assigned to the Offshore Drilling Business Line on a Jack-Up Drilling Vessel, you will collaborate closely with the electrical team and utilize your electrical knowledge to ensure operational reliability and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate electrical maintenance activities under the guidance of the Electrical Lead or Chief Engineer.
- Supervise and control onboard electrical and electronic systems, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Establish maintenance priorities and schedule maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Recommend material stock levels to supervisors to guarantee uninterrupted maintenance operations.
- Maintain optimal functioning of the electrical and electronic equipment onboard.
- Ensure all work is performed in line with established safety procedures and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma in Electrical or Electronic sciences or equivalent.
- At least 6 years of experience within the last decade working as an Electronics Engineer or in a higher role (such as Electrical Section Leader or Chief Electrician) on Saipem or other rigs.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as an Electronics Engineer or Electronics Technician in the past 10 years.
- Experience with NOV or HMH drilling packages is preferred.
- Fluent English communication skills are required.
