Overview
We are seeking skilled Automotive HiL Validation Engineers with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in Bengaluru or Chennai. This role involves comprehensive validation of automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs) using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) platforms. The engineer will also be tasked with creating automation frameworks to boost test efficiency and accuracy.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct HiL testing and validation of automotive ECUs.
- Design, implement, and maintain test scenarios in ControlDesk and AutomationDesk environments.
- Set up and manage dSPACE HiL testing systems.
- Develop and run automated test scripts employing Python and CAPL scripting languages.
- Execute and troubleshoot CAN protocol-based testing procedures.
- Validate ECU functions and lead diagnostic evaluations.
- Review test outcomes, detect issues, and contribute to root cause identification.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, system design, and validation to ensure quality standards.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in Hardware-in-the-Loop testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with dSPACE ControlDesk and AutomationDesk software platforms.
- Well-versed with CAN communication protocols and testing techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of ECU testing processes and automotive diagnostic protocols.
- Proficient in scripting with CAPL and Python for automation purposes.
- Comprehensive experience in automotive testing and validation activities.
Preferred Competencies
- Familiarity with Vector tools including CANoe and CANalyzer.
- Experience with diagnostic standards such as UDS and ISO14229.
- Understanding of the automotive ECU development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of ASPICE and other automotive quality standards.
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering disciplines such as ECE, EEE, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Instrumentation, Automotive, or related fields is mandatory.
