Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a prominent manufacturer in the UAE specializing in sustainable building materials. This company leads innovation by creating eco-friendly construction and interior fit-out materials, supporting greener building solutions.

Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

• Examine tender documents, drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), specifications, and project requirements to gain full understanding of the job scope.
• Extract precise quantity take-offs from architectural and shop drawings.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates that include materials, labor, hardware, machinery, production, subcontracting, and logistics expenses.
• Create detailed BOQs and itemized cost analyses.
• Assess technical specifications and propose economical joinery solutions without compromising quality standards.
• Review commercial and technical requisites, identifying clarifications, exclusions, assumptions, and possible cost effects.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to gather competitive quotations and maintain up-to-date pricing information.
• Maintain and update cost databases, supplier contacts, and past project cost records regularly.
• Assist with tender submissions by ensuring estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted punctually.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Joinery Cost Estimation within the UAE market.
• Proven expertise estimating a diverse range of joinery work beyond doors.
• In-depth knowledge of joinery materials, hardware, fabrication techniques, and installation processes.
• Strong understanding of UAE market pricing, supplier base, subcontractors, and procurement procedures.
• Ability to accurately interpret architectural, structural, and joinery drawings.
• Experience preparing detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and commercial cost estimates.
• Keen analytical ability with meticulous attention to detail and precision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimation software is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
