About the Role
This position is based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada and offers an opportunity to be part of a Fortune Global 500 company known for its innovative culture and team-driven environment. The Local Sorter Package Manager plays a crucial role in managing the flow of packages through loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking. The role may involve operating heavy machinery and requires working efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and diligently implement UPS package handling protocols.
- Load and unload packages into trailers or delivery vehicles.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kgs).
- Able to read and memorize postal codes accurately.
- Flexibility to work varying shift schedules up to five days a week.
- Previous experience in warehouse environments is preferred.
Compensation and Work Environment
- Competitive wages with a starting pay rate of $18.50 per hour.
