About the Role
We invite candidates to a walk-in interview on Saturday, 1st August, at Tata Technologies in Bangalore. The selection process includes profile shortlisting, technical interview, tool assessment, and HR discussion. This role focuses on executing logistics projects, specifically within the automotive industry, targeting both greenfield and brownfield implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee execution of plant logistics planning projects for global OEM clients.
- Lead logistics and supply chain project teams, managing planning, budgeting, and implementation phases.
- Provide both technical and commercial guidance to project members.
- Design, develop, and optimize comprehensive logistics systems encompassing inbound, in-plant, and outbound material flows.
- Engineer effective supply chain solutions aligned with production quantities, takt time, and assembly line demands.
- Plan and verify material flow layouts, warehouse setups, supermarket systems, and line feeding methods including bulk supply, kitting, and sequencing.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Educational background in Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical, Production, Automotive, or Design disciplines.
- Between 2 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with global automotive clients.
- Expertise in greenfield and brownfield logistics project execution.
- Strong knowledge of inbound, outbound, and in-plant logistics planning concepts, material flows from supplier to yard.
- Familiarity with milk-run, JIT, JIS, CKD/SKD logistics principles and line feeding techniques such as kitting, sequencing, and bulk supply.
- Understanding of transportation strategies, returnable packaging management, and yard logistics planning including finished goods vehicle flow.
- Applied knowledge in lean logistics methods including FIFO, Kanban, and supermarket concepts.
- Proficiency in process mapping for logistics operations.
- Hands-on experience with AUTOCAD, MS Office (including PowerPoint and Excel), and TEAM CENTER software.
- Experience with press, BIW, paint shops, TCF, and yard logistics planning is essential.
