Training Specialist

About the Role

A reputable and expanding food manufacturing company based in County Cork is looking to appoint a Training Specialist. This position is vital in ensuring that the workforce possesses the necessary training, competency, and adherence to food safety and operational protocols. The role involves collaboration with production, technical, and HR teams to manage and deliver comprehensive training initiatives across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and timetable training activities for operational teams.
• Facilitate onboarding and induction sessions for new hires.
• Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
• Monitor the progress of training completions and enforce mandatory training requirements.
• Contribute to the development of training materials and educational programmes.
• Assist management in assessing training requirements and identifying competency gaps.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven background in coordinating training, HR support, or learning and development roles.
• Excellent organisational and administrative capabilities.
• Competence in managing training documentation and ensuring compliance.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate across departments effectively.
• Preferably, experience in food manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
• Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP and BRCGS is advantageous.
