Job description
Role overview
This position sits within the Cargo Network Operations team and focuses on supporting load control and load planning activities. The selected candidate will help resolve load-control issues, maintain flight documentation, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders so flights depart on time and comply with regulatory requirements.
Load control support
- Assist with load planning processes and help resolve issues related to load control.
- Keep flight records and operational documentation accurate, and provide cover during irregular operations and flight delays.
Load master support
- Help calculate aircraft weight and balance for both passenger and cargo services, and assist in preparing load sheets and loading instruction reports (LIR).
- Check cargo manifests and loading instructions, and make sure cargo is restrained and distributed correctly.
- Confirm that special cargo is loaded according to the required orientation, restraint, and aircraft limitations, including live animals, perishables, and oversized shipments.
- Support load planning to improve aircraft utilisation, manage cargo transfers and connections, and ensure loading requirements are met.
- Facilitate coordination among flight crew, ground staff, and operations control teams.
Training and development
- Take part in initial training that covers weight and balance fundamentals as well as Business Continuity Plan (BCP) training.
- Complete aircraft-specific modules across different fleet types, including dangerous goods training, and keep certifications up to date.
- Track acknowledgements from stations, send reminders, and follow up to ensure procedure updates are confirmed on time.
Support activities
- Prepare training content and supporting documents, and coordinate training timelines with operational needs.
- Help develop standard operating procedures and training guides.
- Produce OCCS reports, convert data into DOC reporting templates for analysis, and archive delay database records using Excel.
- Act as the overall system administrator and maintain proper records so that compliance tracking and audit trails remain clear.
Special tasks
- Assist with logistics for the A350F Entry Into Service (EIS) and post-EIS operations, including smart freighter management.
Requirements
- A diploma in Logistics, Marketing, Business, or a similar field.
- Prior exposure to the air cargo industry, ideally with experience in load control.
- A solid working understanding of load control operations.
- Comfort using IT tools and office applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, along with good people skills.
- Well-developed analytical thinking.
- Ability to persuade and influence different stakeholders.
