About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Doha, Qatar. This full-time position is based at our luxury hotel, offering an exquisite experience to guests worldwide. Responsibilities

  • Prepare specialized dishes and substitute ingredients as needed.
  • Accurately control oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures.
  • Manage freezer inventory by thawing items appropriately in refrigeration.
  • Ensure precise food portioning, attractive arrangement, and proper garnishing.
  • Maintain detailed food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
  • Provide support to the kitchen staff during peak service periods.
  • Communicate surplus food items to the Chef for potential use in daily specials.
  • Inform Food & Beverage service staff about menu specials and any out-of-stock items.
  • Uphold high standards for food quality and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook food in accordance with established recipes, quality benchmarks, and presentation guidelines.
  • Prepare cold food items.
  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching, serving as a professional role model.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety and security protocols, reporting any maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management.
  • Complete all required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance with a proper uniform.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Proactively anticipate and address guest service needs.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships and collaborate with team members to achieve collective goals.
  • Respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Ensure all work meets quality expectations and standards.
  • Perform tasks requiring standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
  • Execute movements such as reaching overhead, bending below the knees, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds, including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing them without assistance.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant culinary experience is required.
  • A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
  • No prior supervisory experience is necessary.
  • No specific licenses or certifications are mandated for this role.
