Job description

About the role

This remote contract opportunity is for an education technology specialist who can help create realistic task environments and evaluation materials for frontier AI research. The work centers on authentic day-to-day ed-tech workflows and is designed to benchmark how AI systems handle complex, multi-tool scenarios.

The organization connects highly skilled creative and technical professionals with leading AI research teams and is backed by prominent investors.

What you will do

  • Develop a believable digital work setting based on the Drive folders and documents you routinely use, such as product specifications, learning design documents, assessment rubrics, engagement reports, integration plans, professional development materials, and email threads.
  • Model real education platforms and workflows, including tools such as Google Classroom, PowerSchool, and Google Forms.
  • Create layered tasks drawn from genuine work processes, requiring movement across multiple applications, files, and stakeholders to effectively test advanced AI agents.
  • Work with other education-technology professionals to define the environment, set the scope of tasks, and ensure scenarios are both realistic and demanding.
  • Partner asynchronously with research teams to improve task design and the criteria used to evaluate ed-tech agent benchmarks.
  • Help advance frontier AI benchmarking by contributing work that informs how leading labs train and assess next-generation AI systems.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of full-time experience with a Fortune 500 ed-tech company, an R1 university, or a major K-12 district or state education agency.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: LMS administration, educational product management, learning engineering, instructional design, learning analytics, assessment design, adaptive learning platforms, or district-level ed-tech leadership.
  • Working knowledge of student-data privacy rules such as FERPA and COPPA, along with accessibility standards including WCAG and Section 508.
  • Regular, hands-on use of Google Classroom, PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, and Google Forms in daily work.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to turn education technology workflows into structured task specifications.

Compensation and terms

Payment is set at $850 to $1,000 per completed task, with the final amount depending on task quality and subject to change as the project develops. High-performing contributors can also receive a weekly bonus. In addition, top performers may later be moved to an hourly pay model if quality and output remain consistently strong.

Application steps

The application process typically takes 20 to 30 minutes and includes uploading a resume, completing an AI interview based on the resume, and submitting the form.

Additional information

Applications are reviewed daily. To be considered, candidates should complete all application and interview steps promptly. Support is available through the provided help contact. Interview and platform details are available in the referenced documentation.
