Job description

Role overview

This position is focused on workshop-based service support and maintenance planning for instrumentation systems at the site. The aim is to keep operations running smoothly, maintain compliance with legal and internal requirements, and support reliable plant performance.

What you will do

  • Work in line with all applicable policies, procedures, standard operating instructions, and maintenance practices to ensure controlled and consistent execution of tasks.
  • Stay updated on current methods and industry practices, and contribute ideas that improve systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Create test methods and standard formats, and help introduce group guidelines and best practices to strengthen instrumentation maintenance.
  • Support workshop maintenance budgeting and cost planning, and share inputs that help optimize resources.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for instrumentation maintenance in coordination with planning and plant maintenance teams.
  • Track workshop maintenance KPIs and help ensure they are achieved on a regular basis.
  • Carry out important instrumentation maintenance activities while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other teams and follow up on external repair work; also oversee maintenance of related instrumentation equipment in common site areas.
  • Support planned shutdowns and turnaround jobs for instrumentation equipment and systems so that testing, servicing, and calibration are completed on time.
  • Help manage spare parts inventory by identifying requirements, monitoring stock, checking incoming materials, and supporting standardization and availability of critical spares.
  • Assist in solving urgent equipment issues and carry out repair or refurbishment of instrumentation equipment and components.
  • Prepare audit-related compliance documents and help ensure adherence to statutory rules, HSE requirements, RESOP, CASHe, and mandatory HSEF training obligations.
  • Maintain repair logs, test records, MIS reports, and other documentation related to instrumentation maintenance in a timely manner.

Education requirement

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Instrumentation or Electronics is required. A master’s degree in the same streams is preferred.

Experience requirement

The role requires 1 to 3 years of experience in industrial or instrumentation workshop maintenance.
