About the Company
Cooperative Production, Inc. is a community-focused organization that delivers high-quality services for people with developmental disabilities. Its purpose is to strengthen client independence and quality of life through individualized support, inclusive practices, innovation, and active community involvement. The team works together to provide thoughtful, effective programs tailored to each person’s needs.
About the Role
The Recruiter will support the HR function by working closely with the Senior Recruiter and Vice President of Human Resources. The role centers on recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining people processes that match the organization’s goals and service mission. This is a good opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by work that has a direct community impact.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum requirement, though a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred. Experience in recruiting, HR administration, or a similar position is strongly preferred. The role calls for excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, strong organization, careful attention to detail, and the ability to juggle several priorities at once. Familiarity with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office is required. A service-minded approach and alignment with the organization’s values are important for success.
Responsibilities
The Recruiter will help build and execute hiring strategies that bring in qualified and diverse candidates across the organization. Duties include publishing job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting first-round interviews, and working with hiring managers to understand staffing needs. The position also supports onboarding by helping new hires get started, trained, and integrated effectively.
In addition, the Recruiter will keep recruitment records up to date, assist with HR reporting, and support adherence to employment regulations and internal policies. The role includes community outreach to share employment opportunities, participation in job fairs, and relationship-building with educational institutions and local organizations. The Recruiter will also contribute to improving HR practices by staying current on recruiting trends and best practices while collaborating with the HR team and other departments.
Benefits
The organization provides a competitive compensation package along with health, dental, and vision insurance. Employees also receive paid time off, retirement plan options, continuing training and development, employee assistance support, wellness resources, and a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork, balance, and community participation.
Equal Opportunity
Cooperative Production, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and values a diverse, inclusive workplace. Hiring decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other legally protected characteristics. All qualified applicants are considered on the basis of merit and fit with the organization.
