Core purpose of the role

Key responsibilities
- Examine production plans related to commercial launch and filling requirements for API planning.
- Check raw material planning for commercial launch and filling activities.
- Assess the availability of intermediates from internal plants for commercial launch and filling requirements.
- Support DRP, APO, and MRP execution processes.
- Contribute to finalizing budget-related activities.
- Ensure product availability for DF and Marketing teams.
- Work on resolving recurring supply constraints and chronic shortages.
- Support long-range capacity planning efforts.
- Coordinate site transfer activities for APIs and intermediates.
- Track major supply chain indicators and drive corrective actions on DCS, inventory, OTIF, forecast fidelity, and forecast accuracy.
- Serve as SCM lead for cost-reduction initiatives, site transfers, AVD activities, and product internalization plans.
- Drive inventory optimization, including finalizing norms and liquidating non-moving stock.
- Prepare daily reports and support S&OP governance.
- Manage capacity planning and ensure effective utilization aligned to budget mapping.
- Prepare production plans and schedules.
- Plan and schedule material requirements.
- Handle campaign planning activities.
- Maintain master data with accuracy and consistency.
- Support business continuity planning, including de-risking actions such as OS to IH and IH to OS transitions, as well as AVD implementation.
- Support site transfer work for API and intermediate products.
- Run APO cycles covering DRP, NPR, RCCP, MRP, and PR review and release.
- Update and monitor stock allocation files, including tracking D vs C and C vs S.
- Maintain demand fidelity across captive, filling, launch, and marketing demand streams.
- Manage supply for NPL, filling, and query batches.
- Support SCM process maturity initiatives such as norms setting, cost-to-serve analysis, and planning master data control.
- Resolve chronic supply issues for both captive and market requirements.
- Support inventory optimization measures.
- Provide data management support for the S&OP process.
- Review daily and weekly MIS reports and take appropriate action.
Travel
This role may require travel of up to 20%.
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, or an MBA in Supply Chain Management.
