About The Role
Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our thriving team. This position is crucial for managing inventory processes, ensuring stock accuracy, and supporting seamless maintenance and repair operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication abilities, a proactive approach, and the capacity to analyze inventory data for stock optimization and cost reduction. This role offers a significant opportunity to directly impact the efficiency of our clients' manufacturing operations by maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring timely availability of parts for our technical teams.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further certifications in inventory management or supply chain are advantageous.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a closely related field.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and standard MS Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, pinpoint discrepancies, and implement effective solutions.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices for handling inventory.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities within a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity of inventory records and ensure timely replenishment of stock to meet operational demands.
- Manage the processing of repairs for stock items, handle stock placement, record timestamps for repair parts, and facilitate the delivery of component parts to technicians for repair work.
- Control inventory levels and manage materials from vendors, ensuring adherence to departmental budgets. Recommend adjustments to stock and reorder points to enhance inventory management.
- Examine inventory records to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Process purchase requisitions, monitor stock quantities, and update tracking systems with order and stock information.
- Receive purchase orders, confirm their accuracy, and follow up on delayed or missing material orders to prevent operational interruptions.
- Develop and maintain a cross-reference system for efficient parts utilization and track nonconforming or defective components for proper documentation and resolution.
- Coordinate with department managers and supervisors to align inventory levels with production schedules and budget limitations.
- Assist in the prompt and effective resolution of inventory-related issues, discrepancies, and shortages.
- Participate in periodic inventory audits, reconcile any variances, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on improving inventory processes and minimizing waste.
