Job description
Job Purpose
This role supports the marketing and sales function for copper products by handling finance, compliance, and documentation tasks with care and speed. The goal is to keep operations running smoothly while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
The position involves managing customer receipts, compliance checks, reconciliations, and operational reporting. It also includes coordination with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely follow-through on finance-related activities.
Receivables and Documentation Support
- Track and process customer payments received through virtual accounts, direct transfers, and letter of credit realizations.
- Maintain correct treatment of TDS under Section 194Q in customer remittances and ensure the records stay compliant in the system.
- Post receipts accurately and map them to the relevant invoice records.
- Coordinate with channel finance partners to monitor due dates and ensure invoice amounts financed through channel finance are collected on time.
- Issue LC-related updates and advisories to customers when needed.
- Check new bank guarantees and follow up on renewals to avoid expiry-related exposure.
- Update verified bank guarantee details in the ERP system and inform the concerned stakeholders.
- Send credit notes, debit notes, and statements of account to customers.
- Reconcile customer accounts and close reconciliation exceptions without delay.
Legal and Compliance
- Complete monthly and annual Profession Tax return filings within the required timelines.
MIS and Reporting
- Prepare reports on overdue customer bills.
- Prepare reports on non-moving stock.
- Prepare reports related to TDS under Section 194Q.
Risk Management
- Monitor PBND and DBNP regularly to help reduce pricing risk.
Additional Operational Support
- Take part in quarterly inventory checks as scheduled.
- Assist with bank reconciliation work as needed.
- Cover operational tasks when team members are absent so work continues without interruption.
