About the Role
Join the Sydney team of a leading Fortune Global 500 company as a full-time Dispatch Coordinator. This position involves managing outbound order processing, preparing freight for transportation, and developing daily driver schedules to optimize deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Scan and organize freight shipments for dispatch.
- Stack and securely wrap pallets, along with performing other warehouse tasks as necessary.
- Create air and road consignment notes using computerized and manual methods.
- Lodge and retrieve freight at air and sea terminals.
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles; occasionally perform deliveries.
- Coordinate with management to adjust daily routes based on customer requirements.
- Develop daily schedules and inform drivers about potential road hazards affecting travel times.
- Monitor daily driver logs for errors, compliance issues, working hours, and equipment readiness.
- Handle processing of import and export shipments.
Candidate Requirements
- Two to three years of experience in a warehousing environment.
- Customer service skills developed in fast-paced and dynamic settings.
- Current forklift license or willingness to acquire one.
- Possession of Warehousing & Distribution Certificate I-II or relevant experience in third-party logistics (3PL) and freight forwarding is a distinct advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure effectively.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with dispatch software is preferred.
Additional Information
All candidates must pass a National Police Check, though a criminal record does not automatically disqualify applicants unless legally necessary for the role.
This is a permanent full-time position based onsite at the Rydalmere location in New South Wales, Australia.
